This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Brand Strategy & Business Growth based in United States.

This executive-level role will lead brand strategy and business growth initiatives across a dynamic portfolio of consumer brands.
You will translate consumer insights, market dynamics, and business performance into clear strategies that accelerate sustainable growth.
The position combines brand leadership, commercial strategy, financial acumen, and cross-functional influence across a complex organization.
You will lead and develop a high-performing strategy team while serving as a trusted strategic partner to senior leadership.
The role requires connecting brand priorities with marketing, media, sales, finance, operations, supply chain, and innovation decisions.
You will diagnose performance, identify high-impact opportunities, and turn ambiguous business challenges into focused plans and measurable outcomes.

Accountabilities
  • Lead and develop the Brand Strategy organization, building a high-performing team with strong accountability for brand health, business performance, strategic rigor, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Coach and develop segment leaders to operate as owners of their businesses while fostering collaboration and ensuring resources are focused on the most significant growth opportunities.
  • Partner with brand leaders to develop segment and portfolio growth strategies informed by consumer insights, category dynamics, marketplace trends, and business objectives.
  • Translate strategic insights into actionable growth plans, identifying key opportunities, barriers, and strategic choices that can shape future business performance.
  • Act as a steward of the brand across Marketing, Media, Commercial, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Innovation, ensuring brand and consumer priorities inform broader business decisions.
  • Develop an integrated brand and business growth agenda that aligns teams around target consumers, brand positioning, competitive opportunities, and priorities for growth.
  • Own a comprehensive view of business performance, including revenue, market share, household penetration, velocity, distribution, repeat, pricing, mix, and profitability.
  • Establish meaningful KPIs, diagnose performance drivers, identify emerging opportunities and risks, and continuously refine segment and portfolio strategies based on results.
  • Partner with senior leadership on high-impact strategic initiatives and special projects designed to accelerate growth, improve organizational effectiveness, build new capabilities, or address critical business opportunities.
  • Provide structured problem-solving, strategic analysis, and leadership to move complex initiatives from insight and concept through execution.
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to senior executives and a connector across the organization, strengthening strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and growth-management capabilities.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment around priorities and use data, consumer insights, and business performance to support effective decision-making.
  • Help ensure the organization remains focused on initiatives capable of delivering disproportionate business impact.
Requirements
  • 14+ years of experience across brand management, brand strategy, business strategy, commercial strategy, general management, growth leadership, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing brand, portfolio, or business growth strategies with measurable commercial impact.
  • Experience working across Marketing, Media, Sales, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Innovation, and other cross-functional functions.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, demand planning, annual business planning, and portfolio management processes.
  • Ability to connect consumer insights, brand health, commercial performance, and financial results to inform strategic priorities and business decisions.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to assess business performance and translate analysis into actionable growth opportunities.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders, build organizational alignment, and create shared accountability around a common vision and growth agenda.
  • Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams and fostering strong ownership and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to move seamlessly between long-term strategic planning, complex problem-solving, and detailed business analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives and drive high-impact projects from initial insight through execution.
  • Experience in e-commerce and media environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Highly collaborative, curious, commercially minded, and action-oriented approach.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple strategic priorities.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
