Location: North Dakota, Minnesota & South Dakota (travel required between job sites)
Position Summary
Custom Agri Systems Inc. is seeking a hardworking and safety-conscious Grain Bin Repair Laborer to assist with the repair, maintenance, and construction of grain bins and related agricultural storage systems. This position supports crews in performing structural repairs, equipment installation, and preventative maintenance while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working at heights, and committed to providing excellent service to customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the repair, maintenance, and construction of grain bins and grain handling systems.
- Perform bin sheet replacement, roof repairs, door repairs, and structural reinforcement work.
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of conveyors, augers, fans, ladders, stairs, and related equipment.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment to job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and job site.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to complete projects on schedule.
- Interact professionally with customers and represent the company positively at job sites.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders and work comfortably at heights.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to travel to various job sites throughout North Dakota, Minnesota and South Dakota.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred
- Previous experience in construction, agriculture, grain handling, or industrial maintenance.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment.
- Forklift, skid steer, telehandler, or aerial lift experience.
- OSHA safety training or other construction-related certifications.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to work at heights on grain bins and related structures.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in dusty environments and around construction equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding labor for extended periods.
Work Environment
- Outdoor construction and agricultural environments with exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Exposure to grain dust, noise, moving machinery, and elevated work areas.
- Frequent travel between customer locations and job sites.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak seasons and project deadlines.
