Job Description
Seeking an energetic and responsible person to join our maintenance staff. Must be organized, self-motivated, dependable and have a proven track record of results. Must work well with existing property staff. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, will be responsible for the on-going maintenance and upkeep of buildings, equipment, facilities and grounds. Must be willing to work overtime and perform snow removal, as well as be available for on-call coverage. This property has a large Spanish speaking population so being bilingual would be a plus.
Position Responsibilities:
· Responsible for maintenance responsibilities on the property.
· Ensure that vacant units are turned over in a timely fashion.
· Inspect property on a regular basis to ensure all repair work is done properly, safely, and in a timely manner.
· Participate in the emergency maintenance on-call schedule.
Maintenance duties include:
Repairs to building appliances and fixtures; change locks; replace floor tile; unstop clogged drains; repair or replace plumbing fixtures; patch holes in walls; replace faucet washers; perform roof repairs; spot paint exteriors; paint building interiors; assist resident manager, operate lawn care equipment; clean unit interiors; perform miscellaneous carpentry repairs; perform minor masonry duties; maintain supplies and records.

Rate of pay will be based upon experience.

Requirements:· High school diploma or equivalent
· Minimum two years maintenance experience,
· Willingness to perform any task that is required (i.e., janitorial, gardening, etc.)
· Basic construction Familiarity with carpentry and painting, electrical and plumbing
· Good communication skills
· Ability to interact with a wide and diverse range of people. Spanish speaking a plus!
