Job Description: Quality Control Boat Detailer

Company Overview:

Yellowfin Yachts is a renowned boat manufacturing company known for producing high-quality watercraft. We are currently seeking a skilled Boat Detailer to join our team and contribute to the final stages of boat production, ensuring impeccable finishing touches on each vessel.

Position Overview:

The Quality Control Boat Detailer is responsible for ensuring the highest level of cleanliness, appearance, and quality of boats and watercraft in a manufacturing setting. They play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the overall customer experience by ensuring that boats are presented in pristine condition. This position involves attention to detail, technical skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality in boat detailing.

Responsibilities:

1. Boat Detailing: Perform thorough cleaning, detailing, and maintenance of boats and watercraft, including but not limited to, washing, waxing, polishing, interior cleaning, upholstery maintenance, and engine compartment cleaning.
2. Correction of Deficiencies: Identify and rectify any deficiencies found during the quality inspection, which may include addressing issues related to cleanliness, minor repairs, or cosmetic imperfections.
3. Product Knowledge: Stay informed about various boat types, materials, finishes, and detailing products to select appropriate cleaning agents, tools, and techniques for each boat.
4. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and care for detailing equipment, including power washers, buffers, vacuums, and cleaning supplies, to ensure their proper functioning and longevity.
5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of detailing tasks, inspections, and any necessary repairs or maintenance performed on boats.
7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow and the timely completion of detailing tasks.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience in boat detailing or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

- Ability to operate detailing equipment and machinery effectively and safely.

- Basic knowledge of boat materials, finishes, and cleaning products.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks that may require bending, kneeling, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.
