Position overview
The Business Applications Manager will support and improve existing business systems and identify, develop, and deploy new systems-enabled business processes. In collaboration with business leaders, they will assess current business processes and identify areas for improvement, and then provide recommendations and solutions to further improve internal efficiency, collaboration between departments and customer satisfaction. Additionally, this role will be accountable to advance the Business Applications roadmap, ensuring a good balance between continuous improvement, collaboration, and goal achievement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leads the systems enablement efforts for the company by supporting business functions including Operations, Finance/Accounting, Fleet, Safety and HR organizations
- Drives operational efficiency, implements best practices, and delivers high-performance systems while maintaining clean data to contribute to the overall growth and scale of the company
- Partners with leadership to enable an effective system of metrics, tools, and processes to drive productivity, quality, and accountability
- Translates business needs into system requirements and personally implements necessary configurations or manages implementation partners to deliver requested functionality, with an eye towards simplification and industry standards
- Conducts testing and training workshops, develops, and maintains necessary documentation and training materials to drive end user adoption, productivity, and independence.
- Provides day-to-day support, maintenance, and improvements as needed for our ERP, Field Operations and Business Intelligence systems
- Analyzes data within ERP, Field Operations and Business Intelligence systems to ensure data quality, integrity, and provides necessary reporting capabilities
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications

- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, networks, and systems administration

Required Knowledge, Skills/ Abilities and education
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or computer science field of study or equivalent experience
- 8-10 years’ experience in implementing or supporting business applications, in particular ERP systems.
- 5+ years’ hands on experience implementing, managing, or supporting the Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F&O platform.
- 3-5 years’ experience in process improvement using technological tools and solutions and with a continuous improvement mindset
- Demonstrated expertise in business requirements gathering/analysis and functional and technical documentation.
- Proven track record in project management and systems analysis
