QHL Staffing is seeking skilled and experienced Class A Drivers to join our network of professionals. Our team will guide you through the application and interview process at our office and work diligently to connect you with employment opportunities quickly. A Class A Driver is responsible for driving and operating commercial vehicles such as tractor- trailers, combination trucks, and other large trucks to transport goods and materials. The CDL Truck Driver Class A will adhere to safety regulations and maintain high standards of efficiency and productivity in their work. This is a crucial role that contributes to the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse or distribution center.
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of goods, maintaining the vehicle, and complying with all state and federal regulations.
-Expected to adhere to the assigned schedule, maintain communication with dispatch, and ensure that all necessary paperwork and logs are up to date.
-Must also conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and compliance with regulations.
-When picking up a load, the driver must verify that the load matches the order and is secured properly. They must also ensure that the vehicle is properly loaded, and ensure the weight of the load is distributed evenly.
-Must inspect the trailer they are utilizing for any damage and ensure that all lights and brakes are working correctly.
-Ensure loads are dropped off and verified along with the deliver of paperwork in the receiving office.
-Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and quality control.
-Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient delivery of product.
Performs inspection of vehicle prior to use, moves trailers/containers from the warehouse doors to the yard and vice versa as directed by management.
-Checking /containers as they are spotted for loading and unloading and pulling from doors.
-Orderly maintaining of the yard.
-Will be responsible for inputting data into company system.
-Will Service multiple buildings as required.
-Travel to various locations is required.
-Responsible for maintaining safety, communication and attendance.
-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-At least 21 years of age
-No Tickets, violations, infractions or convictions on their driving record.
-Recent DMV print out from the applicant.
-Must bring an updated physical card that complies with DOT requirements.
-Must pass Yard goat assessment.
-Must pass DOT drug screen and physical.
-Must have a current Class A license
-Must pass random drug test per DOT compliance.
-Must know how to drive manual transmission.
