Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for strengthening community relationships and raising awareness about mental health and substance use issues within the community. By planning and executing impactful events and engaging with community members, this role plays a crucial part in fostering positive change and improving community well-being. The role helps identify collaborative solutions and create a lasting, positive impact on the community and the agency.
The Business Development Manager serves as a vital bridge between the drug treatment facility and the broader community. This role is responsible for developing and executing outreach, marketing, and communications strategies that enhance the facility’s visibility, strengthen partnerships, and support client engagement. Through storytelling, education, and events, this position promotes awareness, combats stigma, and fosters a positive image of recovery and healing.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local organizations, schools, healthcare providers, government agencies, and other community stakeholders.Represent the facility at community meetings, coalitions, health fairs, and recovery-oriented events.Coordinate speaking engagements, educational sessions, and advocacy opportunities to raise awareness about substance use treatment and recovery.Create and manage community partnerships that expand access to services and support client referrals.
Business Development
- Strong passion for the community and service while demonstrating an understanding of local issues and community needs and a strong desire to make a difference. Fundraising as the organization becomes more active with fundraising.Maintain a connection to the pulse of the communities we serve. Proven experience in community outreach, prevention, event planning, and relationship-building.Creative, resourceful, and self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to proficiently utilize social media as a tool.Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.Participation in community events is a must with evening and weekend hours as events occur.
COMPETENCIES
- Developing and executing targeted marketing plans to promote facility services.Managing digital marketing campaigns (social media, email marketing). Creating brochures, newsletters, and promotional materials with sensitivity to addiction and recovery.
