GENERAL SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Enrollment & Marketing, the Outreach Specialist at the NewSchool of Architecture & Design encompasses outreach, relationship building, and advising responsibilities, aiming to expand our network by engaging with constituents including our community, related industries, and potential students through various channels. This multifaceted position plays a pivotal role in shaping the futures of aspiring architecture, design, and construction management professionals by guiding them through the journey of enrolling in our undergraduate and graduate programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Outreach and Engagement
- Develop and implement strategies to cultivate and strengthen relationships with industry partners, community colleges, high schools, and military institutions.
- Coordinate and attend outreach events, such as career fairs, educational seminars, and networking events.
- Develop and implement on-campus and virtual outreach events such as open houses, chat with chairs, information sessions, and more.
- Collaborate with the enrollment & marketing team as well as the academic departments to develop initiatives that increase student enrollment from these partnerships.
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Deliver exceptional service to prospective students, ensuring a seamless and positive experience as they navigate the decision-making and enrollment process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the new students and community contacts.
- Conversion Strategy Implementation:
- Leverage a variety of tools and resources, including program knowledge, scholarships, and marketing materials, to support enrollment.
- Actively follow up on leads and inquiries to maximize conversion opportunities.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain meticulous records of interactions, progress, and outcomes within Element 451 (CRM).
- Track enrollment data and analyze effectiveness of outreach efforts.
- Market Insight and Competitor Analysis
- Monitor latest trends in higher education and possess a deep understanding of NewSchool’s offerings relative to industry needs and competitor institutions.
- Utilize program knowledge to inform strategies and communicate effectively with potential students.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 2 years of outreach, recruitment, sales, customer service, account management, or related experience (may substitute with equivalent education/internships).
- Working knowledge of CRM software preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and effectively in a team environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., sitting for extended periods of time, walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions, as necessary. Work from home may be required from time to time; reliable high-speed internet access is required.
