EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full time, 40Hrs/week

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Programming

DEPARTMENT: Home Ownership

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, Benefits Eligible

LOCATION: Kansas City, MO

JOB SUMMARY: The Educational Coordinator is responsible for designing, managing, and expanding the organization’s homeownership and financial literacy education ecosystem. This role leads curriculum development, oversees delivery of both in-person and virtual education, and cultivates strategic partnerships to expand access and impact.

The Educational Coordinator will also build and maintain a scalable, self-led virtual education platform to support clients at all stages of the homeownership journey. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the Beneficiary Deed and TODD programming with key community partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Curriculum Development & Management

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive curriculum for:
  • Pre-purchase homeownership education
  • Post-purchase sustainability
  • Financial literacy (budgeting, credit, savings, etc.)
  • Ensure curriculum aligns with HUD standards and industry best practices
  • Continuously update content to reflect market changes, policy updates, and client needs
  • Develop, maintain, and expand Beneficiary Deed/ TODD programming and educational services

Virtual Education Platform Development

  • Design and build a self-paced, virtual education platform
  • Translate in-person curriculum into engaging digital modules
  • Incorporate multimedia content (videos, quizzes, tools, resources)
  • Monitor user engagement and continuously improve user experience

Partnership Development & Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, lenders, and service providers
  • Coordinate guest instructors, subject matter experts, and co-branded programming
  • Identify opportunities for collaborative education initiatives and revenue generation

Program Coordination

  • Schedule and manage workshops, classes, and events (virtual and in-person)
  • Coordinate logistics, materials, and facilitators
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all educational offerings
  • Assist with backup front desk coverage

Client Engagement & Access

  • Ensure education offerings are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to community needs
  • Support integration between education and counseling services
  • Develop pathways from education into counseling and homeownership programs

Data Tracking & Evaluation

  • Track participation, completion rates, and outcomes
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Prepare reports on educational impact and reach

Other Tasks As Assigned

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in curriculum development, education program management, or community outreach
  • QLO certified ( Qualified Loan Originator) for Missouri, Kansas and Federal.
  • Knowledge of homeownership, housing counseling, or financial literacy topics
  • Experience with virtual learning platforms or LMS systems (preferred)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Bi-Lingual preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Speak and hear in order to communicate with others.
  • Work at a desk or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Move around the office, event, or construction sites.
  • Apply physical dexterity, able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to independently operate a motor vehicle.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Individual may need to sit or stand as needed. The position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. The individual may reach above shoulder heights or below the waist or lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Individual may be subject to intermittent moderate noise levels. Individual needs to be able to use their fingers to type.
