Coordinator Medical Staff Svc GME in North Kansas City, Missouri at North Kansas City Hospital

SUMMARY: Facilitates the credentialing of Fellows, Resident Physicians, Medical Students and Nurse Practitioner Students; and facilitates the credentialing of Advanced Practice Professionals appointment and reappointment in a timeframe compliant with the Medial Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations. Maintains an open line of communication with the educational institutions who schedule rotations at NKCH. Acts as a librarian for the Medical Staff by coordinating online article and literature search requests with UMKC Libraries.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years experience in GME and credentialing.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Professional written and verbal communication skills. Computer literacy and database management, comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, ability to utilize work processing, database, and/or spreadsheet.

OTHER: Knowledge of credentialing processes for Fellows, Resident Physicians, Medical Students, Nurse Practitioner Students and Advanced Practice Professionals; the Joint Commission and applicable state regulatory requirements. Ensures Medical Staff that they will have online resources via UMKC Libraries.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: NAMSS (National Association of Medical Staff Services)

EDUCATION: Required: High School or Equivalent, Preferred: Associates - Related Field, Bachelors - Related Field
