About This Position
POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrator/Director of Clinical Services provides leadership, and oversight to ensure the planning, organizing and management of all aspects of the nursing home. Supervises and evaluates the care provided to residents to ensure the highest possible quality and compliance with state and federal regulations. The Administrator/Director of Clinical Services advocates for the needs of residents while focusing on the overall organizational mission, goals and objectives. The incumbent leads and coaches the staff at Heritage Place to develop an effective healthcare team. The Administrator/Director of Clinical Services facilitates the interface between Heritage Place and Central Peninsula Hospital to ensure organizational cooperation and the provision of a seamless continuum of care.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Four year, bachelor's degree in a field like health services administration, public administration, or long-term care administration. Minimum two years related professional management experience and/or training in a long term care facility. Active participation in national or state healthcare professional associations such as American Hospital Association or state hospital association. Current Nursing Home Administrators license in the State of Alaska. Knowledge of finance, budgeting, and cost control principles. Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding long term care. Ability to analyze financial data. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality services/materials and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
