Job Description

MarCom Strategist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a MarCom Strategist based in the United States.

The MarCom Strategist will help shape communications and outreach initiatives across health care programs, contracts, grants, and organizational projects.
This hands-on role combines marketing strategy, communications planning, content creation, and project coordination.
You’ll develop audience-focused strategies that turn complex health care information into clear, engaging, and actionable communications.
The position offers the opportunity to work independently on smaller initiatives while partnering with senior communications professionals on larger, high-impact projects.
You’ll create content across websites, newsletters, email campaigns, social media, educational resources, and other digital and print channels.
Success requires strong judgment, organization, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and approvals.
This is a fully remote opportunity for an adaptable communications professional who wants to contribute to meaningful health care and public-impact initiatives.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop communications and outreach strategies by defining target audiences, key messages, communication channels, tactics, and calls to action.
  • Establish communications infrastructure for new initiatives, including websites, provider portals, branding standards, templates, workflows, and supporting resources.
  • Write, edit, and refine newsletters, website content, educational materials, onboarding resources, one-pagers, brochures, email campaigns, social media content, and other communications.
  • Translate complex health care, programmatic, and technical information into clear, accessible, and audience-centered messaging.
  • Ensure communications materials consistently follow organizational standards, brand guidelines, accessibility considerations, and design best practices.
  • Create content tailored to diverse audiences, including health care professionals, patients, families, caregivers, community partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain team workspaces, project information, and communications workflows using platforms such as SharePoint, Asana, and Google Workspace.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and assignments simultaneously, managing contributors, deadlines, reviews, approvals, and deliverables.
  • Work independently on smaller communications projects while collaborating with senior strategists and leadership on larger initiatives.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders to develop accurate, useful, and engaging communications.
  • Bring structure and clarity to new initiatives by establishing practical communication approaches, processes, and workflows.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, journalism, public relations, health education, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in communications, health care marketing, advertising, journalism, public relations, health education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing communications or outreach strategies and translating them into effective content and campaigns.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to make complex information understandable, concise, and engaging for different audiences.
  • Experience producing content across multiple print and digital channels.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, contributors, deadlines, and approvals.
  • Excellent judgment and attention to detail, particularly when working with sensitive, technical, or health-related information.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to work effectively and independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience in health care, public health, human services, or another mission-driven environment is preferred.
  • Experience supporting government contracts, grants, or partner-based initiatives is an advantage.
  • Experience communicating with health care professionals, consumers, caregivers, or community partners is preferred.
  • Experience developing websites, newsletters, email campaigns, templates, or partner outreach materials is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Asana, HubSpot, Google Workspace, content management systems, and email marketing platforms is a plus.
  • Adaptability and a generalist mindset, with the ability to both develop communication approaches and execute the resulting work.
  • Must maintain licensure eligibility for assigned state contracts where applicable.
  • Reliable and secure internet access is required for this fully remote position.
Benefits
  • Salary: $70,000–$91,350 annually.
  • Remote work: 100% remote position available from anywhere in the United States.
  • Work-life balance: A remote-first environment designed to support flexibility and sustainable work practices.
  • Workspace support: Annual stipend to help enhance and customize your home workspace.
  • Healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off: Vacation, illness, and volunteering leave.
  • Retirement: Retirement savings plan with employer contributions.
  • Family support: Paid parental leave and adoption financial assistance.
  • Professional growth: Opportunities to develop your career while contributing to meaningful health care quality and improvement initiatives.
  • Mission-driven environment: Work alongside professionals focused on improving health care delivery, quality, and patient outcomes.
  • Accessibility: Reasonable accommodations are available to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
