- Manage and review the work of two direct reports, including journal entries, reconciliations, and AP/AR processes, while providing coaching, feedback, and professional development.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and ad hoc analyses for senior finance leadership and support annual budgeting, cost-center planning, and variance analysis.
- Support strategic finance initiatives such as ERP integrations, sales tax automation, procurement, RFPs, purchase orders, and contracting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is desirable.
- At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
- Experience with nonprofit accounting is preferred, particularly grant compliance, restricted funds, and audit support.

- Experience in education technology, online publishing, software, or another technology-driven environment is a plus.
- Experience with Sage Intacct or a comparable ERP system is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, revenue recognition, GAAP, treasury operations, and internal controls.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet close and reporting deadlines.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Proven people-management and coaching skills, with a collaborative approach to team development and performance.
