Job Description

About Wellity Health

At Wellity Health, we are dedicated to expanding access to high-quality behavioral health care and innovative specialty treatments. We partner across the healthcare continuum—from local medical groups and hospitals to county health plans—to support patients through comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care, specialized testing, and interventional treatments like TMS and Ketamine.

We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic Business Development Representative to join our team, forge strategic partnerships with local medical groups, and drive referral growth across the Bay Area.

The Role

As our Business Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Wellity Health’s clinical footprint. Working directly under the supervision of the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), you will spearhead outreach to primary care providers (PCPs), local hospitals, county agencies, and medical groups to establish primary care pathways and collaborative referral streams.

If you thrive in a hybrid environment combining strategy with direct relationship-building, love connecting healthcare providers with meaningful patient solutions, and want high visibility alongside executive leadership, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Group & PCP Engagement: Initiate targeted outreach to local PCPs and medical groups to build referral networks for specialized services, including ADHD screenings, neuropsychological testing, and interventional psychiatry.
  • Hospital Outreach & Care Coordination: Build collaborative partnerships with local hospitals (including the Fremont and Burlingame regions) to establish Wellity Health as the primary referral partner for discharged psychiatric, 5150, and follow-up patients.
  • County Health Plan Administration: Manage contacts, track active California county health plans (e.g., Medi-Cal/Medicare intersections), and serve as the internal point of contact for county contract details.
  • Court & Diversion Partnerships: Strengthen relationships with county court systems to streamline referral workflows for court-mandated care and mental health diversion programs.
  • Community & Specialty Service Expansion: Execute strategic outreach campaigns targeting surrounding communities to drive growth for cash-pay specialty services (Ketamine, TMS, ADHD, and Neuropsych testing).
  • Digital Presence & Brand Visibility: Manage company LinkedIn and Instagram accounts, track website performance, and leverage client reviews to boost brand awareness.
  • Executive Strategic Support: Support the CSO and CEO by scheduling and preparing introductory briefing meetings with key county leaders and strategic healthcare partners.
Work Location & Travel
  • Hybrid Model: Work remotely for administrative, research, and planning tasks.
  • Field Requirement: Required to be in the office or on-site in the Bay Area (Fremont, Burlingame, and surrounding regions) 1–3 times per week for partner meetings, networking, and field outreach.
Qualifications
  • Location: Must reside in and be able to travel within the Bay Area (Fremont/Burlingame areas).
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in business development, outreach, account management, or healthcare strategic partnerships.
  • Healthcare Knowledge: Foundational understanding of (or ability to rapidly learn) medical group referral networks, Medi-Cal, Medicare, County Health Plans, and public sector mental health programs.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Google Suite, CRM software, and social media platforms (LinkedIn/Instagram).
  • Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Self-Starter Mindset: High autonomy, proactive problem-solving ability, and comfort working independently while staying aligned with leadership.
  • Mission-Driven: Strong alignment with our mission to deliver accessible, high-quality behavioral health care to complex and underserved populations.

The pay range for this role is:
70,000 - 78,000 USD per year(California)
