We have an opportunity for someone to lead and develop our highly engaged and growing Pharmacy team. As the Director of Pharmacy, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the pharmacy operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients. You will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures that align with regulatory standards and best practices in pharmacy management. You will lead a team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy clerk, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth and excellence in service delivery. Additionally, you will be involved in strategic planning to enhance pharmacy services, optimize medication management, and improve patient outcomes. Ultimately, you will contribute to the overall mission of the organization by ensuring safe, effective, and efficient medication use across all patient populations.
Location: Dallas, TX (5750 Pineland Dr. Dallas, TX 75231)
Here's a sneak peek at what you'll do:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor pharmacy staff, providing training and support to enhance their professional development.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and improve patient care outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate pharmacy services, implementing quality improvement initiatives as needed.
- Identify and implement continuous and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with community partners to expand access to pharmaceutical care
What you need to succeed
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current pharmacist license in good standing in Texas.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a pharmacy setting, with at least 2 years in a strategic leadership role.
- Experience with a 340b pharmacy across multi-locations
- Experience with pharmacy, informatics and technology integration.
- Previous experience in a community health center is a plus.
- Strong leadership and management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, collaborative and analytical skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish, Pashto, Rohingya, or Burmese is a plus.
