Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Deal Desk Manager based in United States.
This role is an opportunity to shape how complex technology deals move from opportunity to closed business. You will serve as the strategic connector between Sales, Legal, and Finance, helping teams structure commercially sound agreements while maintaining speed and discipline. You will own critical quoting, pricing, approval, and contracting processes and have significant autonomy to improve how they operate. The role combines commercial judgment, financial understanding, contract awareness, and strong cross-functional influence. You will support enterprise and mid-market sales teams through high-value, negotiated transactions while helping leadership understand deal trends and pipeline risks. Success requires the confidence to challenge assumptions, resolve competing priorities, and guide stakeholders toward defensible decisions. This is a high-impact position within a growing technology environment where ownership, transparency, and practical problem-solving are highly valued.
- Serve as the primary Deal Desk partner for Sales, advising account executives and sales leaders on quoting, pricing scenarios, discount structures, commercial models, and non-standard terms.
- Coach sales teams to identify deal complexity early, helping structure opportunities effectively before they reach late-stage negotiations.
- Own deal approvals end to end, including preparing deal packages, coordinating stakeholders, driving approvals, and communicating decisions and rationale back to Sales.
- Partner with Legal during contract negotiations by translating commercial objectives into workable contractual terms and converting legal considerations into actionable business trade-offs.
- Maintain and improve fallback positions, negotiation guidance, and playbooks for commonly negotiated commercial and contractual terms.
- Work closely with Finance to ensure closed transactions support appropriate revenue recognition, ARR classification, billing structures, margin requirements, and approval documentation.
- Support quarterly financial close and audit activities by maintaining accurate deal records and clear, defensible approval trails.
- Provide Finance and leadership with visibility into late-stage pipeline, discounting patterns, deal structures, and other trends that may affect forecasting.
- Own and continuously improve quoting, approval, and contracting processes across the lead-to-cash lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Revenue Operations and Business Systems on Salesforce and CPQ configuration, approval workflows, process improvements, and reporting.
- Analyze Deal Desk data to identify process gaps, understand performance trends, and recommend improvements that increase efficiency and commercial effectiveness.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or a similar function within a technology organization.
- Strong experience supporting enterprise or mid-market SaaS sales teams through complex, negotiated transactions.
- Solid understanding of SaaS commercial and financial fundamentals, including revenue recognition, ARR definitions, contract structures, billing terms, and standard commercial provisions.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce and Salesforce CPQ, including quote configuration and approval workflows.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets for analysis, modeling, reporting, and deal evaluation.
- Strong commercial judgment with the ability to distinguish between situations that require a solution, an escalation, or a firm but well-reasoned decision.
- Excellent communication, active listening, negotiation, and conflict-management skills, with the ability to build trust across stakeholders with competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence Sales, Legal, Finance, and operational teams without relying solely on formal authority.
- Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to understand the broader commercial and business implications of individual deals.
- Experience in cybersecurity, managed security services, or a related technology environment is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and reside within the continental United States; visa sponsorship is not currently available.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
Benefits
- Base salary range of $110,600–$160,400 USD, with the broader compensation framework reaching approximately $115,000–$160,000 depending on applicable factors.
- Targeted base compensation primarily around $129,000–$149,000 based on experience, skills, and market data.
- Eligibility for variable compensation and equity.
- Unlimited paid time off, with a culture that actively encourages employees to use it.
- Flexible work-location options, including remote work or an office-based environment.
- Up to 24 weeks of parental leave.
- Comprehensive health benefits.
- Opportunity to work closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, Revenue Operations, and Business Systems leadership.
- Significant ownership over quoting, approval, and contracting processes, with the autonomy to improve existing workflows.
- Access to the tools, technology, and cross-functional resources needed to operate an effective Deal Desk.
- Exposure to complex enterprise transactions and the commercial mechanics of a growing technology business.
- An environment that values transparency, creativity, collaboration, and meaningful contributions.
