Job Description

Build Relationships. Grow a Network. Make an Impact.

You're not selling a product! You are helping families make important decisions about their future.

At Nelson Elder Care Law, we help families protect what they've worked hard for and navigate some of life's most difficult moments. Our work is personal, our clients matter, and we believe the experience should feel different from traditional law firms.

We're looking for a relationship-driven sales professional who is energized by meeting people, building trust, creating opportunities, and helping families.

This is a hybrid sales and business development role. Part of your time will be spent in the office meeting with families and helping them understand how we can protect them from the curveballs of life. The rest of your time will be spent in the community developing referral relationships, educating referral partners, and creating new opportunities for the firm.

Are you someone that enjoys sales, but doesn't want to spend your day making cold calls, chasing leads, or pushing a product someone doesn't need? This may be a good fit for you!

If you're motivated by meaningful work, enjoy building relationships, and like seeing the direct impact your efforts have on business growth, we'd love to meet you.

Compensation:

$80,000 - $110,000 yearly Total Compensation

Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:

Build Relationships in the Community

You'll become a trusted representative of the firm and own the referral partnership channel from the first introduction through helping families become clients.

  • Develop meaningful relationships with professionals who serve seniors, their families, and individuals navigating life transitions.

  • Identify and develop new referral opportunities beyond traditional networking channels.

  • Meet with referral partners regularly to understand their business, educate them on our services, and identify ways we can help the families they serve.

  • Attend community events, professional meetings, educational opportunities, and other activities that create meaningful connections.

  • Build a referral network based on trust. Continuously expand and strengthen your referral network.

Turn Relationships into Revenue

You will own the referral relationship from the first introduction through the family's experience with our firm.

  • Generate qualified consultations through your referral network and community relationships.

  • Maintain consistent communication with referral partners so Nelson Elder Care remains their trusted resource.

  • Track referral activity, conversion, and revenue to ensure partnerships remain productive.

  • Work closely with our internal team to create an exceptional experience from referral through onboarding.

Meet with Families:

This is where the sale side of the role comes in. When a family comes to us, in the Gainesville area, You will help them understand their situation, their options, and how our firm can help.

  • Meet with referred families to understand their goals, concerns, and circumstances.

  • Educate families on the legal solutions available to them.

  • Guide families through the decision-making process with confidence and compassion.

  • Help families move forward with the services that best meet their needs.

This is consultative sales. You aren't expected to pressure families into a decision. You're expected to understand their needs, communicate value, build trust, and help them make an informed decision.

What Success Looks Like

Success isn't measured by the number of networking events you attend.

Success means:

  • Building a growing network of engaged referral partners.

  • Creating consistent opportunities for families to meet with our firm.

  • Helping families move forward with confidence.

  • Achieving a 65% consultation-to-client conversion rate.

  • Consistently contributing to the firm's revenue growth through your partnership channel.

Qualifications:

What we are looking for:

You love meeting people, building trust, and creating opportunities.

You don't have to come from the legal industry. In fact, we'd love to hear from people who have been successful in relationship-based sales, business development, healthcare, senior living, financial services, insurance, real estate, hospitality, or other client-facing industries.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Build relationships naturally and authentically.

  • Builds trust quickly and genuinely enjoys helping others

  • Is comfortable asking questions, listening, and having meaningful conversations

  • Has a strong sales instinct

  • Enjoy owning goals and measuring your results.

  • Communicate confidently with professionals, business owners, and families.
