JOB TITLE: PROGRAM DIRECTOR
FLSA : EXEMPT
DIVISION : SERVICES
REPORTS TO: ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT, SERVICES
LOCATION: COLLEGE POINT (QUEENS), NY
SALARY: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually
SUMMARY
The Program Director is responsible for the overall administration of a 200+ bed women’s homeless shelter. Provides leadership for the day to day operation of the facility, as well as program accountability to ensure service goals are met or exceeded. Proof of covid 19 vaccine is required.
DUTIES/RESONSIBILITIES:
- Overseesall program operations to ensure success of the program in meeting client needs.
- Ensures compliance with DHS outcomesregardingplacements, long term stayers, placement retention, facility standards, as well asWesthab’sperformance and quality assurance measurements.
- Oversees process, census, vocational services, case management,facilitiesand housing placement services.
- Hires andreviewsperformance of all management staff.
- Ensures operationsare in compliance withregulatory requirements (State OTDA / DHS /Westhab).
- Provides leadership and direction to management staff, including Director of Social Services, Facility Manager, Security Manager, and permanent housing placement staff ensuring support is in place to ensure the success of the shelter.
- Interfaces with the community, neighborhoodassociationsand other local service providers.
- Drives and monitors program results
- Completes program status reports
- Creates and monitor program corrective action plans when needed
- On Call 24 hours/7 days a week
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s Degree preferred, Bachelor Degree required in human services or related field. At least 4 years’ supervisory experience operating a DHS shelter is preferred. Strong administrative skills and an understanding of residential operations required; Experience in program management and knowledge of OTDA and DHS regulations required. Proficient in working in CARES
