Job Description
Warehouse Operations & Inventory Coordinator – The Fremont Company | Fremont, OH
The Fremont Company has been making food families love since 1905 — Frank's Sauerkraut, Mississippi BBQ Sauce, Paisley Farms Bean Salad — and we need a Warehouse Operations & Inventory Coordinator who runs a tight ship and takes pride in knowing nothing falls through the cracks on their watch.
This isn't a clipboard role. You'll own the full operation — our Fremont facility plus multiple offsite storage locations. Here's what your days look like:
- Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments — accuracy, timeliness, no excuses
- Inspect incoming freight and document damage, shortages, or discrepancies on the spot
- Schedule and manage LTL, FTL, and dedicated carriers for daily pickups and deliveries
- Build and maintain carrier relationships and hold them accountable when issues come up
- Keep inventory records clean and current across the main facility and multiple offsite locations
- Run cycle counts, reconciliations, and product transfers with proper documentation every time
- Catch discrepancies, overages, and shortages before they become someone else's problem
- Build BOLs, process invoices, and manage all supporting paperwork from start to finish
- Lead and direct two warehouse team members — set the standard, set the tone
What You Need
- 3+ years of warehouse operations experience, including at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role
- Real, working knowledge of BOLs, freight invoicing, and inventory documentation
- Proven experience scheduling and managing LTL/FTL carriers
- Comfortable with WMS or inventory software and solid in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Sharp eye for discrepancies — you find problems before they find you
- Forklift certified (or ready to get there)
- Multi-location inventory experience, ERP/WMS background, or food manufacturing/distribution? We'd love it
