Job Description

Director, Technology Alliances

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Technology Alliances based in United States.

The Director, Technology Alliances will own and scale a focused portfolio of strategic technology partnerships that generate measurable commercial value. This senior role sits at the intersection of partnerships, sales, marketing, and product, translating technical integrations into effective go-to-market motions. You will lead joint business planning, field-level co-selling, co-marketing programs, and executive stakeholder alignment across key technology ecosystems. The role begins with hands-on ownership of a select group of high-priority alliances, giving you direct influence over strategy, relationships, and revenue outcomes. As the partnership ecosystem grows, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a team of Technology Partner Managers. Success requires strong commercial judgment, cross-functional leadership, and a proven ability to turn partnerships into tangible pipeline and revenue. This is an opportunity to shape a high-growth technology alliances function within an AI-native SaaS environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the commercial, relational, and operational health of a select portfolio of strategic technology alliances.
  • Develop and maintain joint business plans with partners and serve as the primary point of accountability for relationship growth and performance.
  • Collaborate with technical partnership teams to assess which integrations are ready to become full commercial alliances and determine when existing relationships should evolve or wind down.
  • Drive field-level co-selling by connecting sales representatives across organizations and developing enablement that makes joint selling straightforward and repeatable.
  • Own partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline and revenue as measurable outcomes of the technology alliance portfolio.
  • Design and execute joint go-to-market programs spanning demand generation, field events, content, and other pipeline-generating activities.
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure co-marketing initiatives deliver measurable commercial outcomes rather than solely increasing brand awareness.
  • Align executive sponsors, management teams, and field organizations around shared alliance priorities, objectives, and execution plans.
  • Act as the connective link between Partnerships, Product, Marketing, and Sales to ensure coordinated execution across each alliance.
  • Begin as an individual contributor with direct responsibility for a focused portfolio while establishing the foundation for a scalable alliances organization.
  • Hire, coach, and develop Technology Partner Managers as the function and revenue contribution expand.
  • Establish an effective operating model, including ownership structures, QBRs, planning cadences, reporting, and performance management.
Requirements:
  • At least 8 years of experience in technology alliances, strategic partnerships, channel, or related roles is required.
  • A demonstrated track record of generating partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline and revenue is essential.
  • Proven experience managing the full commercial lifecycle of technology partnerships, including joint business planning, field co-selling, and co-marketing execution.
  • Experience designing and executing joint go-to-market programs across demand generation, field events, and content in collaboration with marketing teams is required.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills are essential, with the ability to align executives, managers, field teams, and cross-functional stakeholders around shared objectives.
  • Experience working across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Partnerships functions is highly valuable.
  • The ability to operate effectively as the commercial counterpart to a technical partnerships organization is required, with a focus on translating integrations into measurable business value.
  • Comfort starting as an individual contributor while building toward team leadership is important.
  • Experience with major CRM, cloud, or platform ecosystems and their partner or alliance programs is preferred.
  • Experience running rep-to-rep co-selling motions and marketplace listings is advantageous.
  • Prior people-management experience or demonstrated readiness to build and lead a team is a plus.
  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS environment with both self-serve and enterprise or mid-market motions is preferred.
  • Strong commercial judgment, executive presence, communication skills, ownership, and the ability to operate with focus and urgency are highly valued.
  • An AI-native mindset and enthusiasm for using automation and technology to improve productivity are well suited to the role.
Benefits:
  • Tier 1 compensation for San Francisco, New York City, and Seattle locations ranges from $220,000 to $275,000 USD in total cash compensation.
  • Tier 2 compensation for all other U.S. locations ranges from $190,000 to $238,000 USD in total cash compensation.
  • Compensation ranges may span multiple career levels and are narrowed during the interview process based on experience, qualifications, and location.
  • Equity may be offered as part of the overall compensation package.
  • Eligible roles may include company bonuses, sales commissions, or other incentive compensation.
  • A 401(k) plan is available.
  • Employees receive at least 10 paid holidays per year, flexible PTO, and parental leave.
  • Employee assistance and wellbeing programs support personal and professional wellness.
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits are available, along with FSA/HSA options.
  • Life, accidental death and dismemberment, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance may be provided.
  • Global travel coverage is available.
  • The role offers significant autonomy and ownership in shaping a growing technology alliances function.
  • The position provides opportunities to work across partnerships, sales, marketing, product, cloud ecosystems, and AI-driven technology.
  • As the function scales, there is an opportunity to build and lead a team and establish the operating model for a growing global alliances organization.
