We are seeking a knowledgeable and solutions-oriented Sectional Valve Specialist to support our growing fluid power business. In this role, you will partner closely with Account Managers and customers to design and deliver hydraulic sectional valve solutions that solve real-world challenges and drive new business.
This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role that blends technical expertise, customer interaction, and problem-solving.
- Design hydraulic sectional valve solutions, including schematics, bills of materials, and quotes to support Account Managers
- Partner with Account Managers on customer opportunities, including participating in joint sales calls to help win new business
- Review customer specifications and application requirements to recommend effective hydraulic solutions
- Provide technical support on product selection, configuration, and system design
- Assist with prototype valve builds to validate designs and ensure production readiness
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and diagnose performance issues
- Prepare technical documentation, proposals, and quotations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, purchasing, and operations to ensure accurate and timely delivery
- Support training for internal teams and customers as needed
- Stay current on product lines, manufacturer updates, and industry trends
- Certification, associate degree or bachelor's degree in engineering, Fluid Power Technology, or a related field is preferred
- 3+ years of experience with hydraulic systems and/or fluid power components
- Strong understanding of sectional valves and hydraulic circuit design
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Experience working with OEMs or within a distribution environment is a plus
- Experience supporting sales teams or working in a customer-facing technical role is a plus
- Manufacturer-specific training or certifications (e.g., Parker, Bosch Rexroth, etc.) is a plus
- Hands-on troubleshooting or field service experience is a plus
- Proficient in general computer use and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
- Valid driver's license / some travel may be required
