- Review project quality criteria
- Draft contract instructions for inspection and testing plans that reflect the requirements and specifications contained in the customer's order
- Present documentation and follow up with the customer
- Participate as a representative of the Quality Assurance department in project management (clear and timely communication with internal and external customers)
- Resolve issues related to contracts under your responsibility
- Participate in the development, review, and implementation of various Velan quality procedures and instructions
- Interact with customer representatives and regulatory authorities
- Evaluate non-conformities issued by customers
- Conduct internal quality audits and participate in audits conducted by external parties
- Other assigned tasks
- Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, or metallurgical engineering; membership in the OIQ (an asset)
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
- A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in the field of engineering
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality management
- Experience in a company serving the nuclear energy industry is an asset
- ASME/ANSI standards and material specifications applicable to the pressure vessel or piping/valve industry
- ASME Section III, Division 1 (an asset)
- ISO 9001 and NQA-1 standards, and auditor qualification (an asset)
- Proficiency in the Office Suite
- Proficiency in French and English, oral and written (bilinguism)
- Ability to process and synthesize large amounts of technical information
- Time management skills
- Superior problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Autonomy and ability to work alone
