As an Assistant Bakery/Deli Manager, you’ll support daily operations, lead team members, and help drive sales and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced grocery store bakery and deli environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in managing daily operations of the bakery and deli departments
• Supervise and support team members in the absence of the manager
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are maintained
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock control
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns
• Support hiring, training, and development of team members
• Execute promotions, merchandising, and product displays
• Monitor product quality, freshness, and proper labeling
• Help drive sales, profitability, and operational efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in food service, restaurant, retail, or grocery management preferred
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic math and financial understanding (inventory, sales, labor)
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Food Handler Permit required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• Flexible full-time availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)

Work Environment

• Fast-paced grocery store bakery and deli
• Exposure to hot cooking equipment and cold storage areas
• Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs
