Annual Salary: $ 95,000.00 - $ 110,000.00

Job Purpose:

The Director of Facilities is a member of the hotel’s Executive Committee responsible for overseeing all engineering operations, facility maintenance, capital projects, and property infrastructure. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all building systems, including HVAC, boilers, chillers, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, kitchen and laundry equipment, power plant systems, grounds, and parking areas, while maintaining exceptional guest and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all engineering, maintenance, and facility operations for the hotel and grounds.
  • Plan, manage, and execute capital projects, renovations, and construction initiatives.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Manage departmental budgets, payroll, inventory, purchasing, and contractor/vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, OSHA, environmental, and brand standards.
  • Monitor energy management programs and utility consumption to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead, develop, schedule, and evaluate engineering team members.
  • Maintain life safety systems and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Partner with hotel leadership to support operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and property standards.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Chief Engineer License (or equivalent certification preferred).
  • Minimum 6 years of engineering/building maintenance leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, boilers, chillers, and energy management.
  • Proven experience managing capital projects, renovations, and maintenance programs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and budgeting skills.

Preferred

  • Hospitality or hotel engineering experience.
  • Marriott engineering or management training.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance systems and energy conservation programs.
