Job Description

About the Organization

AIL has been serving working families for more than 68 years. We partner with over 40,000 labor unions, associations, and member-based organizations, including groups connected to major professional sports organizations such as the NFL, NBA, and MLB. With more than 5 million members served and over $58.9 billion of insurance in force, our organization continues to provide trusted protection backed by an A+ Superior financial strength rating from AM Best.

Many union members request information about our benefit programs because traditional workplace coverage can often change, reduce, or end when employment or retirement circumstances change. Our focus is to help members access permanent benefit options that can provide long-term protection for themselves and their families.

AIL has also been recognized as a leading workplace in North America, earning Best Workplace awards in 2017, 2018, and 2019, and being named one of Forbes’ Happiest Places to Work.

Role Overview

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys communicating with people, providing clear information, and helping members better understand the benefits available to them. You will work directly with union members who have requested information and guide them through the process in a professional and supportive way.

Daily responsibilities include managing inbound and outbound calls, scheduling appointments, conducting virtual presentations, assisting members with benefit information, completing required paperwork, maintaining quality control standards, using basic computer systems, and participating in ongoing leadership development.

What We Offer

  • Long-term career growth and leadership advancement opportunities.
  • Flexible work hours.
  • Remote work-from-home options.
  • Residual income opportunities.
  • Full health benefits.
  • Hands-on one-on-one training and mentorship.
  • Annual all-expenses-paid office trips to exciting destinations, with past locations including Puerto Rico, Cancun, Disney, Las Vegas, and the Bahamas.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good time management and organizational ability.
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education is preferred but not required.
  • Customer service, retail, or client-facing experience is preferred but not required.
