Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a Human Resources Intern to provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team while gaining hands-on experience in various HR functions. This internship offers exposure to recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HR compliance, personnel records management, and general office administration. Job Accountabilities:
- Assist with recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Prepare new hire paperwork and support the onboarding process.
- Maintain and organize employee personnel files, both electronic and paper.
- Assist with HR data entry and record maintenance within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events.
- Assist with benefit enrollment materials and other employee communications.
- Help prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and correspondence.
- Perform document filing, scanning, copying, and other administrative duties.
- Support compliance efforts by assisting with I-9 documentation, personnel file audits, and record retention.
- Respond to routine employee questions and direct more complex inquiries to appropriate HR staff.
- Assist with special HR projects as assigned.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information.
Job Specifications:
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma/GED and at least two years of schooling pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
Years’ Experience: 0-2 years of relevant work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Skills:
- Possesses knowledge in human resources processes and the ability to coordinate activities for a team
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize changing situations
- Ability to recognize and solve typical problems and select solutions from established options
- Possesses strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
