Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Functional Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Functional Consultant based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to help organizations transform their business operations through Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain solutions.
The position focuses on analyzing complex business challenges and designing scalable ERP solutions that improve operational performance.
You will work closely with clients, technical teams, and project stakeholders to deliver successful end-to-end implementations.
As a senior consultant, you will bring expertise in Supply Chain Management, Project Management & Accounting, and business process optimization.
The role combines strategic consulting, hands-on configuration, client engagement, and solution delivery within a collaborative remote environment.

Accountabilities:

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Functional Consultant will lead functional consulting activities across ERP implementation projects, helping clients improve processes, configure solutions, and achieve measurable business outcomes. The role requires strong ownership of assigned workstreams, effective collaboration with technical teams, and the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions.

  • Analyze client business requirements and facilitate discovery sessions to understand operational challenges and process improvement opportunities.
  • Design, configure, test, and deliver Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management and Project Management & Accounting (PMA) solutions.
  • Develop functional designs, document requirements, and collaborate with developers to ensure technical feasibility and successful delivery.
  • Support business process optimization across Supply Chain, inventory management, procurement, sales, billing, and project-related operations.
  • Identify functional gaps, recommend solutions, and guide clients through implementation decisions and organizational changes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on application development, testing, deployment, and issue resolution.
  • Assist with data conversion planning, execution, and validation activities.
  • Lead test planning, user acceptance testing, and solution validation to ensure successful implementations.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and consultative guidance.
  • Take ownership of project deliverables while contributing knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the consulting team.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 professional with strong consulting capabilities, ERP implementation expertise, and the ability to manage complex client engagements. You should combine technical knowledge with business process understanding and demonstrate confidence working independently and collaboratively.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 6+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Finance & Supply Chain, or AX2012 implementations.
  • Experience delivering multiple full lifecycle ERP implementations, including at least five end-to-end projects.
  • Strong expertise in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management processes, including procurement, inventory, sales, and warehouse operations.
  • Proven experience with Dynamics 365 Project Management & Accounting (PMA) functionality.
  • Ability to gather requirements, conduct process assessments, and translate business needs into functional solutions.
  • Experience creating detailed functional designs and collaborating with technical development teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile or other software development methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps and Microsoft Office tools, including Visio.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage project activities, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Self-motivated, consultative mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Preferred experience includes Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications, Power Platform knowledge, Microsoft Project experience, D365 Dual-Write expertise, and additional experience with Project Operations.
