Job Description

People Ops Coordinator

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a People Ops Coordinator based in the United States.

This role is central to building a smooth, reliable employee experience in a growing remote-first organization.
You’ll own key People Operations processes across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and benefits coordination to records and offboarding.
You’ll also support recruiting, performance initiatives, employee engagement, and internal culture programs.
Beyond People Operations, you’ll provide coordination support to senior leaders and help move important cross-functional projects forward.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to evolving environments and improving processes as a company scales.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organization while handling sensitive information with discretion, care, and sound judgment.
This is an opportunity to have broad operational impact while developing your career alongside experienced leaders in an early-stage environment.

Accountabilities
  • Own day-to-day People Operations activities throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits and payroll coordination, HRIS updates, PTO tracking, and employee records.
  • Serve as an approachable first point of contact for routine employee questions, escalating sensitive or complex matters appropriately.
  • Support performance management, employee engagement, feedback cycles, goal-setting, recognition programs, and team-building initiatives.
  • Coordinate recruiting and hiring activities end to end, including job descriptions, interview scheduling, candidate communications, recruiting documentation, and the transition from candidate to new hire.
  • Provide coordination and administrative support to senior leaders and assist with cross-functional projects from initial request through completion.
  • Build, document, simplify, and improve People and operational processes as the organization grows.
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows and reduce administrative friction across People Operations and broader company operations.
  • Maintain strong follow-through across multiple priorities while ensuring a consistent, organized, and high-quality employee experience.
Requirements
  • 1–3 years of experience in People Operations, Human Resources, or a related administrative or business operations role.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at different levels of the organization.
  • High degree of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive employee information.
  • Proactive and resourceful approach, with the confidence to take ownership and move work forward without requiring detailed instructions.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities, processes, and responsibilities can evolve quickly.
  • Strong follow-through and a bias toward action, with a genuine interest in making processes more efficient and reliable.
  • Familiarity with HR, project management, collaboration, HRIS, or other business operations tools.
  • Ability to work remotely during U.S. business hours; candidates based in Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific time zones are preferred.
Benefits
  • Fully remote work with the flexibility to work from anywhere while maintaining U.S. business hours.
  • Competitive compensation package, including participation in an equity program.
  • Mentorship and exposure to experienced executives and senior leaders.
  • Opportunity to take meaningful ownership and make a direct impact within a rapidly growing startup.
  • Broad exposure to People Operations, recruiting, company operations, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and increased responsibility within an early-stage environment.
  • Travel opportunities for in-person team off-sites, subject to visa and travel eligibility.
