Engineering Manager, CRM Systems

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Engineering Manager, CRM Systems based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the evolution of CRM engineering capabilities within a fast-growing technology environment.
You will manage a team of Salesforce engineers and administrators responsible for critical customer, sales, and operational workflows.
The position combines engineering leadership, platform strategy, and hands-on expertise in modern Salesforce development practices.
You will partner closely with product and business stakeholders to build scalable solutions that improve customer experiences and operational efficiency.
The role focuses on leveraging automation, AI-powered tools, and modern delivery practices to transform how teams work.
You will help shape the future of CRM architecture while driving innovation, reliability, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Salesforce administrators and developers while fostering strong engineering practices and AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Define and execute the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for CRM platforms in collaboration with product leadership.
  • Deliver reliable, scalable solutions supporting customer lifecycle workflows, including lead management, opportunity management, onboarding, customer support operations, and revenue processes.
  • Drive improvements across platform architecture, testing, observability, deployment automation, and CI/CD practices to increase delivery speed and system reliability.
  • Establish effective engineering processes covering sprint planning, technical design reviews, release management, incident response, operational support, and long-term platform maintenance.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI capabilities and intelligent automation to improve employee productivity, customer interactions, and business outcomes.
  • Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions and determine the best approach across Salesforce solutions, third-party platforms, and custom development.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders across sales, go-to-market, customer operations, and technology teams to translate business needs into impactful technical solutions.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering or technical teams focused on Salesforce or CRM platforms.
  • Strong software engineering background with experience in architecture design, APIs, integrations, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce technologies and concepts, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, Flow, Apex, Lightning Web Components, data modeling, security, permissions, and system integrations.
  • Experience implementing engineering best practices around planning, development workflows, code reviews, deployments, incident management, and operational excellence.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar solutions in a professional environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across technical and business teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience deploying AI-powered customer support, sales, or operational agents is a plus.
  • Experience managing Salesforce delivery through GitHub, automated pipelines, and modern DevOps practices is preferred.
  • Familiarity with complex go-to-market processes such as lead routing, opportunity management, CPQ, contracting, onboarding, and revenue operations is beneficial.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing systems in fintech, financial services, or other regulated industries is a plus.
  • Knowledge of security, privacy, compliance, auditability, and data governance practices for sensitive customer information is advantageous.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary range of $220,000 - $265,000 USD, depending on location, skills, and experience.
