Jeweler Job Summary The Jeweler responsibilities will include ensuring proper assembly, smoothing and polishing finished products, designing pieces and building molds, and evaluating the quality and value of pieces and raw materials. Jeweler Primary Responsibilities • Restore damaged or broken jewelry, select appropriate gems, clean and polish jewelry while maintaining quick turn-around times • Repair broken clasps, pins, rings, and other jewelry by soldering or replacing broken parts • Reshape and restyle old jewelry, following designs or instructions, using hand tools and machines, such as jeweler's lathe and drill • Adhere to all safety-related procedures to reduce the risk of accidents • Order and maintain jewelry supplies, necessary in jewelry workshop • Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and complete tasks in a timely manner • Set up a repair shop independently • Cut and shape precious metals into jewelry pieces using cutting and carving tools • Re-size rings made from using different metals Jeweler Qualifications • Prior professional Jeweler, Bench Jeweler, Jewelry Repair Technician, or Jewelry Technician experience required • Hands-on experience with jewelry repair, restoration, fabrication, soldering, polishing, finishing, and ring sizing • Experience working with precious metals, including gold, silver, platinum, and other jewelry metals • Knowledge of gemstones, diamonds, jewelry settings, clasps, chains, rings and other jewelry components • Strong knowledge of jewelry repair tools, equipment, and bench jewelry techniques • Strong follow up skills required • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills required • Strong attention to detail required • Strong communication skills required • Strong computer skills required • Ability to multi-task • Positive attitude • Self-starter with strong time management skills required • Punctuality is a must • Honest, trustworthy, and professional when handling valuable jewelry, gemstones, and precious metals • Must have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team Jeweler Benefits • Paid Time Off, including 7 paid Holidays • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance • Life Insurance • 401K with Company match An Equal Opportunity Employer We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, genetic information, or any other status protected by law or regulation.
