In Home Full time Caregiver position in Lehigh Acres, Florida at Community Resource Network of Florida INC

Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.

This position is an in-home position, providing care at the Individuals home. This individual is a young man who enjoys puzzles, crafts, painting, coloring and going for walks in his neighborhood. He will also be working on some of his school assignments and projects that the caregiver can help him with. He is very sweet and happy.

He requires the caregiver to prepare his food-basic meals already prepped by his parent. He requires reminders to chew slowly.

He requires assistance with all ADLs, and someone that enjoys interacting with children. He uses sign language and his device to communicate his needs.

The ideal caregiver will be compassionate, dependable, patient and have a genuine interest in working and engaging with a child.

By applying for this position, you acknowledge and understand that this role is offered on an independent contractor basis, and not as an employee of the company. The role pays $15.00 hourly.

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 6:45 a.m.-4:45 p.m. No weekends needed

Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role:

• Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
• Assisting with personal hygiene tasks
• Meal preparation and light cleaning
• Ensuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
• Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
• Have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Are 18 years of age or older
