This role plays a key part in supporting patients, healthcare providers, and program stakeholders across complex treatment and reimbursement pathways.
You will act as a central point of coordination between physicians, clinics, and support programs to ensure patients receive timely and uninterrupted access to therapy.
The position combines clinical understanding, case management expertise, and strong administrative execution in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
You will be responsible for guiding physicians through enrollment, reimbursement, and authorization processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance at every step.
The environment is patient-focused, fast-paced, and highly collaborative, requiring strong communication and relationship-building skills.
You will also contribute to improving program delivery by identifying gaps, optimizing workflows, and supporting continuous quality improvement.
This is a highly impactful role where your coordination and expertise directly influence patient access to essential treatments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for physicians, clinics, and healthcare stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and trusted relationships.
- Support healthcare providers in navigating patient assistance programs, including enrollment, reimbursement, and therapy access processes.
- Manage and complete all required documentation such as special authorizations, prescription renewals, and enrollment forms with accuracy and timeliness.
- Take ownership of the reimbursement and authorization workflow, ensuring submissions are complete, compliant, and processed without delay.
- Provide ongoing updates and guidance to physicians regarding patient status, program changes, and best practices.
- Review patient information and ensure all documentation meets program, regulatory, and quality requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and adapt program support to meet the needs of providers and patients in both clinic and remote settings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth program execution and consistent service standards.
- Registered Nurse (RN), BSc in Pharmacy, Science degree, or equivalent healthcare-related education and experience.
- Experience in case management, patient support programs, reimbursement, or healthcare coordination is an asset.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare processes, including reimbursement frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with physicians and clinical staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset, especially for Quebec and New Brunswick requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle, with willingness to attend occasional healthcare education events.
