JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Analyst – Retail Sales will be responsible for full analytical support from report creation, automation, synthesis, selling story creation and delivery. This position will support customers in all Retail /Club channels across multiple categories. The Senior Analyst – Retail Sales will utilize both internal sales platforms and syndicated data to provide communication and reporting with our internal and external customers. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Retail sales and will support the needs of the retail sales team. This position requires expertise in analyzing complex data sets, interpreting market trends, and translating findings into actionable recommendations for our sales and marketing teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of syndicated data sources, advanced analytical skills, and cross-functional collaboration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain sales reporting, analytics, and models that track and drive insights for the marketing mix (price, promotion, product, and place).
- Reporting recaps following the DIA (Data, Insights, Action Steps) framework accompanied by data visualizations.
- Develop and maintain sales analytics processes that deliver analysis (timely and effectively).
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns to assist in generating meaningful operational and commercial insights.
- Deliver clear insights utilizing data analytics to create compelling selling propositions.
- Implement strategic analytic initiatives including pricing, revenue management, portfolio optimization/assortment, shopper decision hierarchies, predictive forecasting, and budgeting.
- Utilize data visualization tools (such as Tableau, Power BI) to create clear and compelling presentations of data findings.
- Facilitate collaborative meetings with the marketing and sales teams to discuss findings, track business results, and make support data-driven decisions
- Proactively identify business opportunities and develop actionable solutions.
- Support Replenishment and Customer Service teams to drive best in class service level improvements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-7 years of sales analytics experience
- Experience with syndicated data and analytics NielsenIQ experience is a plus.
- Experience and knowledge of report creation and automation
- Strong working knowledge of Retail Link / Luminate and Microsoft Office is required.
- Strong project planning and/or project management skills.
- Ability to develop presentation materials that are clear, concise, and compelling
- Advanced Excel skills are required.
QUALIFICATONS:
- Four-year degree required.
- CPG background preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- This is an onsite-Hybrid(2 days in the office per week) position that would require up to 15% - 20% travel. *May consider remote under the right circumstances.
- Occasionally, on site visits, enter rooms with cold temperatures.
- The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is necessary.
- Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending on the project or assignment.
