The Senior Virtual Infrastructure and Systems Architect will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and evolving enterprise infrastructure environments across hybrid and cloud platforms.
This position focuses on ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable systems that support business continuity and operational excellence.
The role combines strategic architecture, hands-on engineering, and technical leadership across virtual infrastructure, storage, servers, and Azure environments.

The Senior Virtual Infrastructure and Systems Architect will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. The role requires strong technical ownership, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration with engineering teams to maintain secure and highly available systems.

• Maintain and support enterprise infrastructure environments, including on-premises, hybrid, and Azure platforms through provisioning, patching, migration, monitoring, optimization, and lifecycle management.
• Design, implement, and maintain highly available infrastructure solutions across multiple data centers and cloud regions to support business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
• Architect and deliver infrastructure solutions across server, storage, virtualization, and Azure environments for strategic technology initiatives.
• Support enterprise storage platforms, including SAN, NAS, and cloud-based storage services.
• Manage and optimize Microsoft Azure environments, including cloud resources, identity services, security configurations, and compute services.
• Design and support virtualization platforms including VMware, Nutanix, and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and reliability while identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending enhancements.
• Maintain technical documentation, system inventories, architecture diagrams, and operational reporting.
• Ensure data replication integrity between infrastructure environments and support disaster recovery readiness.
• Provide operational support for server, storage, and cloud platforms, including maintenance activities, change coordination, and after-hours support when required.
• Collaborate with technical teams on project delivery, infrastructure improvements, and change management processes.
• Share knowledge and provide technical guidance to infrastructure and operations teams.

The ideal candidate is an experienced infrastructure professional with strong expertise in virtualization, cloud architecture, and enterprise systems administration. This individual should be comfortable managing complex environments, driving technical improvements, and collaborating across teams.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of experience working with hypervisor platforms and Azure design, administration, and architecture in a senior technical role.
• Proven experience managing Microsoft Azure environments, including Entra ID (Azure AD), Enterprise Applications, Conditional Access policies, Azure compute, storage services, and cloud resources.
• 6+ years of experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Nutanix, and Microsoft Hyper-V, including deployment, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience managing enterprise server platforms, including Cisco UCS and HPE environments.
• Experience with enterprise SAN, cloud storage, and server management solutions.
• Demonstrated experience designing and operating hybrid infrastructure environments integrating on-premises systems with Azure cloud services.
• Experience implementing and managing VMware vSphere, vCenter, and Site Recovery Manager.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, reliability, performance optimization, and disaster recovery practices.
• Ability to proactively identify technical challenges, recommend improvements, and independently implement solutions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
