We are seeking a Senior Network Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain advanced automation solutions for large-scale enterprise network environments.
This role focuses on modernizing network operations through automation, orchestration, and software-defined networking practices.
The successful candidate will leverage deep Cisco expertise alongside strong coding and DevOps capabilities to improve network reliability and efficiency.
Working across cloud and on-premises environments, you will help deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure solutions.

The Senior Network Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing automation-driven network solutions that improve operational efficiency, scalability, and security across complex enterprise environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain network automation solutions to streamline provisioning, configuration, and operational management.
- Automate Cisco IOS-based network device configurations, deployments, and change management processes using advanced networking expertise.
- Develop, test, and maintain production-quality automation scripts and workflows using Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, and related technologies.
- Integrate network automation processes with CI/CD pipelines to accelerate infrastructure deployment and updates.
- Implement software-defined networking (SDN) and network functions virtualization (NFV) solutions to support flexible and scalable architectures.
- Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure automation solutions support multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
- Optimize network workflows to reduce manual effort, minimize errors, and improve operational performance.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance automation processes, provisioning pipelines, and network performance.
- Create and maintain documentation covering automation workflows, technical standards, and operational best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating emerging technologies and recommending improvements to enterprise network capabilities.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in network engineering, automation, and modern infrastructure technologies, with strong technical expertise in Cisco environments and automation frameworks.
- 7–10+ years of experience in network administration, network engineering, automation, or related roles with senior-level responsibility.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco network infrastructure, including production configuration, troubleshooting, and operational support.
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco IOS, including command-line configuration and automation of IOS-based network devices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, test, and maintain automation solutions using Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Strong expertise in network automation, orchestration, SDN, NFV, and cloud-native networking concepts.
- Experience integrating automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field preferred; advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience working with multi-cloud environments and modern infrastructure automation methodologies preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable and efficient solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain required DHS Suitability security clearance.
