Location: Naples, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Occasional Overtime Required)
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00+ per hour, depending on experience
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to support industrial electrical construction and instrumentation work on projects in the Naples, Florida area. This position is ideal for someone with a strong electrical background who also has experience installing, wiring, and troubleshooting instrumentation systems used in industrial or water/wastewater facilities.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
ResponsibilitiesInstall, terminate, and troubleshoot power, control, and instrumentation wiring.
Install conduit, cable tray, junction boxes, and associated electrical equipment.
Install and wire motors, VFDs, control panels, and other electrical equipment.
Install field instrumentation, including pressure, level, flow, and temperature devices.
Perform instrument terminations, loop checks, and functional testing.
Read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, P&IDs, loop drawings, and construction documents.
Verify proper installation and operation of electrical and instrumentation systems.
Assist with equipment startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and testing.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
Work collaboratively with electricians, controls technicians, engineers, and project management.
3+ years of experience as an Electrical, E&I, Instrumentation, or Industrial Electrical Technician.
Experience in industrial construction, manufacturing, utilities, power generation, or water/wastewater facilities.
Ability to install and terminate electrical and instrumentation systems.
Experience reading electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
Familiarity with motors, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, and field instrumentation.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to safely use electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Experience with water or wastewater treatment facilities.
Experience performing instrument calibrations and loop checks.
Familiarity with PLC-controlled systems and SCADA environments.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
NFPA 70E training.
Electrical apprenticeship or technical school education.
