This is a client-facing strategy role focused on helping leading retailers and brands unlock the full growth potential of retail media. You will bring hands-on Retail Media Network expertise into strategic consulting engagements and transformation initiatives. The role combines commercial strategy, retail operations, analytics, and executive-level communication. You will translate complex client challenges into structured recommendations, actionable roadmaps, and measurable business opportunities. Working across retail media, brand strategy, go-to-market, and operating models, you will own important workstreams from discovery through delivery. This is an opportunity to influence how retailers commercialize media while helping brands improve growth, measurement, and return on investment. You will join a collaborative environment where practical industry expertise and strategic thinking are equally valued.
- Support discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, research, and synthesis to identify client priorities, challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Translate client inputs and market insights into structured analyses, opportunity frameworks, recommendations, and executive-ready materials.
- Develop strategies that connect Retail Media Networks with brand objectives such as sales growth, market share, ROI, and measurement transparency.
- Own defined workstreams across retail media strategy, brand-to-retail alignment, retail go-to-market modernization, in-housing assessments, and operating model transformation.
- Build supporting analyses, light financial models, business cases, roadmaps, and value models to inform strategic decisions.
- Apply practical knowledge of how Retail Media Networks are structured, priced, commercialized, and sold to advertisers.
- Assess retailer revenue models, media margins, measurement approaches, incrementality, attribution, and closed-loop reporting requirements.
- Support workshops, executive presentations, proposal development, new-business research, and the creation of reusable retail media frameworks.
- Contribute to thought leadership through points of view, webinar content, strategic insights, and other industry-facing materials.
- Collaborate with internal and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality work while maintaining a strong focus on commercial outcomes and practical execution.
- 6–10 years of experience in retail media, strategy consulting, commercial strategy, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on experience working within a Retail Media Network on the retailer side, with a strong understanding of how media offerings are commercialized and sold to brands.
- Experience in retail media sales, account management, partnerships, commercial strategy, or another sell-side function.
- Practical experience with retail media execution and/or strategy beyond purely activation-focused responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of grocery and/or mass retail media ecosystems and their commercial dynamics.
- Exposure to physical retail environments, including merchandising, store operations, shopper marketing, and in-store execution.
- Familiarity with major Retail Media Networks such as Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Kroger Precision Marketing, or comparable grocery and mass-retail platforms is preferred.
- Experience working across multiple Retail Media Networks or broader retailer ecosystems is a plus.
- Background in CPG, agency environments, or complementary brand-side roles is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and data-synthesis skills, with the ability to build structured analyses and light financial models.
- Understanding of the intersection between brand marketing, performance marketing, shopper behavior, and retail media.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, persuasive, executive-ready materials.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and take ownership with appropriate guidance.
- Fully remote position within the United States.
- Opportunity to work on strategic retail transformation initiatives for major brands and retailers.
- Exposure to senior marketing, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
- Opportunity to contribute to retail media thought leadership, strategic frameworks, and industry perspectives.
- Collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives, inclusion, and equitable outcomes.
- Opportunity to apply hands-on retail media expertise to complex, high-impact consulting engagements.
