Responsibilities
The Leave of Absence/Worker’s Compensation Specialist is responsible for case management of leave of absence, workers compensation claims and ADA accommodation processing throughout organization. Effectively coordinates all LOA claims to include general administration, case management and program compliance with FMLA, CFRA, PDL, SDI, PFL and various state leave laws. Additionally, responsible for ADA Accommodate requests, interactive process and case management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee company’s comprehensive processes for various leaves and accommodations – guiding employees through the documentation process, continuous communication flow and facilitate a smooth return-to-work process for employee and department management.
- Generate and manage reporting metrics and analytics for various leave types and ADA accommodation.
- Determine eligibility and administer leave programs and policies in alignment with federal and state employment laws.
- Work closely with Payroll Dept in coordinated paid time off with disability payments.
- Ensure HIPAA and employee privacy guidelines are upheld.
- Process claims, working closely with employees, department management and TPA regarding work restrictions and accommodations.
- Collaborate closely with department and employee on leave ensuring an interactive and accommodation process in place.
Qualifications
- 4 yrs experience working closely with details of various leave types
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding leaves and ADA regulations.
- Proficient with ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office sw.
- High attention to detail for handling confidential and sensitive data, data entry, and record management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain complex information to employees with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adaptable to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of productivity.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Pay Range:
- $34.00 - $38.00 Depending on Experience
