PURPOSE
To assist the Purchasing Manager, Supervisor and Buyers with the coordination and management of purchasing functions. Assist with quality control to ensure the best value and product is being purchased and proper file management is maintained.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and maintain an effective filing and retrieval system for vendor bids and quotes.
- Establish and maintain an effective filing system for contracts.
- Assist Purchasing Manager with requests for quote (RFQ) or requests for proposal (RFP).
- Assist Buyers with matching vendor descriptions to orders placed outside the purchasing and inventory system.
- Assist Buyers with maintaining consistent item creation and labeling for ease of searchability.
- Assist the Purchasing Manager and Supervisor and with vendor licensing through SGC in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure compliance with Purchasing procurement controls, policies and procedures.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
- Knowledge of Automated Inventory Management Systems. (E-requester, Great Plains, Eatec, or similar program)
- Train as backup support for the Purchasing department.
- Any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties of the position.
Skills and Abilities:
- Successfully complete provided 10 Key assessment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
