This role is a field-based sales position focused on developing and managing business relationships within the water infrastructure sector across a defined territory in Quebec. You will be responsible for driving market growth by promoting technical solutions to municipalities, engineering firms, and distribution partners. The position combines strategic territory management with hands-on client engagement, requiring frequent travel and active participation in industry events. You will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, strengthening existing accounts, and positioning engineered products within public infrastructure projects. Working closely with internal sales and technical teams, you will help shape commercial strategies and ensure strong customer satisfaction. This is a high-impact role for a results-driven professional who thrives in consultative, relationship-based B2B sales environments.
- Develop, maintain, and grow strong commercial relationships with existing and prospective clients across the assigned territory
- Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and engagement with municipalities, engineers, and distributors
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and responses to technical and project-based requests
- Promote and position products within infrastructure projects to ensure specification and adoption
- Collaborate with internal sales teams and leadership to align territory strategies and market approaches
- Organize and participate in promotional activities, including seminars, site visits, and industry events
- Build and execute territory plans aimed at increasing market share and revenue performance
- Provide client support by resolving product-related issues and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders and contribute to strategic sales discussions
- Travel frequently within and outside the territory to ensure full market coverage and engagement
- College or university degree in business, engineering, construction, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing technical roles
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a consultative sales approach
- Ability to manage a territory independently with a strong results-oriented mindset
- Solid organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to understand technical products, pricing structures, and industry specifications
- Strong communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken
- Comfortable working in a field-based role with frequent travel requirements
