This role offers an excellent entry point into retail category management, supporting the development and execution of product strategies across exciting technology categories. You will work closely with senior buyers and cross-functional teams to help bring new products to market, manage product data, and support pricing and promotional activities. In this role, you will support category management activities by ensuring accurate product setup, pricing execution, and cross-functional coordination. You will contribute to product launches, maintain data integrity, and help identify trends or issues that may impact category performance. Working closely with buyers and planning teams, you will help ensure smooth execution of merchandising strategies.
- Support product launches by coordinating and validating product information to ensure timely and accurate market readiness.
- Own SKU setup processes, including collecting, verifying, and entering detailed product data from vendors.
- Execute pricing updates and promotional changes with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor category data to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential issues early in the process.
- Collaborate with senior buyers, assistant buyers, demand planners, and other stakeholders to support category objectives.
- Assist in maintaining high-quality product data across systems to support merchandising and marketing performance.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and operational efficiency within category workflows.
This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and an interest in retail merchandising or category management. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and comfortable working with data in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with a willingness to learn and grow within the retail industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, or a related field preferred.
- Strong interest in retail, merchandising, category management, or consumer technology.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
