C&C Produce has operated the Midwest's Largest Produce Warehouse located in North Kansas City since 1992. We deliver fresh produce to schools, restaurants, grocery stores, distribution centers, and healthcare facilities.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

C&C Produce is looking for a self-motivated Staff Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. In this role, you’ll play an important part in our company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting and compliance with the law.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Posting journal entries and accrualsGeneral Ledger reconciliations to include all balance sheet accountsMaintain and reconcile fixed assets accounts and roll forward schedulesMaintain capital leases ledger entries and roll forward scheduleReview and record employee and contract labor payroll journalsAssist with other month-end closing activities and provide management with reports, data, and analysis as requested for month end closing and various auditsAssist with preparing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analysesWork with the appropriate department to research and resolve discrepancy issues timelyReview daily issues and works with the team to resolveDocument issues beyond his/her control, and reviews with the Assistant Controller in a timely mannerWork with the Assistant Controller in completing a clear year end audit

Other duties as assignedREQUIRED SKILLS:

Foodservice distribution experience (Preferred) and/or supply chain experience (Plus)Experience with inventory cost accounting.Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. pivot tables & vlookups)Hands-on experience with accounting and ERP software (Microsoft Navision / Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to demonstrate advanced analytic skills, including excellent mathematical skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with multiple levels and multiple departments within an organizationStrong understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)EDUCATION/EXPIRENCE:

3 years’ experienceBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business (Required)WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position will be in an office setting at a desk equipped with computer, monitors, phone, and other applicable resources/equipment. It will require the applicant to routinely sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend for up to 8 hours.
