Insurance Technician - PIS

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Insurance Technician - PIS based in United States.

This remote role provides essential technical insurance support within a collaborative specialty insurance environment.
The position plays a key part in managing policy renewals, carrier communications, and client service activities.
You will help ensure accurate processing, timely renewals, and smooth coordination between internal teams, carriers, and policyholders.
The role offers an opportunity to develop insurance expertise while contributing to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Working closely with account teams and underwriting partners, you will support the delivery of reliable insurance solutions.

Accountabilities:

The Insurance Technician - PIS is responsible for providing technical insurance support and ensuring efficient policy administration throughout the renewal and servicing lifecycle. The role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders.

  • Maintain and update renewal tracking systems to ensure accurate visibility into policy activity and upcoming business needs.
  • Prepare and send renewal solicitations to existing clients while supporting successful policy retention.
  • Determine appropriate renewal processes with insurance carriers and manage communications throughout the renewal cycle.
  • Create branded quote documents, payment instructions, and other required renewal materials.
  • Review and process payments, checks, and renewal documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Issue policies, process invoices, and help ensure carrier payments are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide ongoing policy servicing support, including cancellations, reinstatements, endorsements, and coverage-related requests.
  • Assist account teams, sales representatives, customer service teams, and clients with technical insurance questions.
  • Organize incoming documentation, including mail processing, indexing, and distribution when required.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and operational efficiency.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate has foundational insurance knowledge, strong administrative capabilities, and the ability to manage detailed processes while supporting internal teams and clients effectively.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 months of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic insurance knowledge or relevant coursework preferred, such as INS21, INS22, or INS23.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and general administrative tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling policy documentation and financial information.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in the veterinary industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment and contribute to team success.
