Job Description

Senior Content Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Content Engineer in Canada.

Join a forward-thinking remote team focused on transforming how technical documentation is created and maintained in an AI-driven environment. In this role, you will design scalable content systems and intelligent workflows that empower engineering and product teams to publish high-quality documentation efficiently. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, AI tooling, and editorial excellence, helping improve developer experiences at scale. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys building automation frameworks, optimizing knowledge-sharing processes, and collaborating across global teams. You’ll contribute to innovative documentation strategies while maintaining high standards for technical accuracy, usability, and machine-readability. The environment is collaborative, multicultural, and deeply committed to flexibility, learning, and open communication.

Accountabilities:
  • Design and implement AI-powered documentation pipelines, integrations, and automated content workflows that streamline the publication process.
  • Build scalable editorial frameworks and metadata standards to ensure documentation remains clear, structured, and optimized for both human users and AI agents.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and developer advocacy teams to support product launches with accurate and timely technical documentation.
  • Review and refine AI-assisted and engineer-generated content to maintain high standards of technical quality, consistency, and readability.
  • Develop systems for identifying outdated or missing documentation and leverage metrics to continuously improve documentation performance and user satisfaction.
  • Enable self-service documentation practices by training and supporting engineers and product managers in using documentation tools and workflows effectively.
  • Contribute to documentation strategy by improving automation, editorial processes, and knowledge-sharing practices across teams.
Requirements:
  • Strong technical background with the ability to read and write code, preferably in Python, TypeScript, or Go.
  • Experience building integrations, working with APIs/SDKs, and creating automated workflows using AI or LLM technologies.
  • Proven expertise in technical writing and editing, with the ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, developer-friendly content.
  • Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, AI-assisted content generation, or related automation systems.
  • Familiarity with docs-as-code environments and documentation platforms such as Docusaurus, Mintlify, or similar tools.
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset with a focus on scalable processes rather than one-off content creation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience partnering cross-functionally in remote or distributed environments.
  • Professional fluency in English and the ability to work effectively with international teams.
  • Bonus points for experience in Developer Advocacy, open-source contributions, MCP integrations, or enabling non-writers to produce high-quality technical content.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote work environment with a globally distributed and collaborative team.
  • Flexible paid time off to support work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage for employees in eligible locations.
  • Company stock options and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Professional development budget to support continuous learning and career growth.
  • Home office and equipment budget to optimize your remote workspace.
  • Wellness allowance to support physical and mental well-being.
  • Internet reimbursement and remote work travel opportunities.
  • Inclusive parental leave policies.
  • Annual team gatherings and opportunities to connect with colleagues worldwide.
  • Diverse, inclusive, and supportive culture focused on innovation, flexibility, and personal growth.
