Job Description

User Experience Designer, Platform Data

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a User Experience Designer, Platform Data in Canada.

This role sits at the intersection of UX design, data platforms, and complex engineering systems, focusing on how users and developers interact with large-scale project and asset data. You will help shape intuitive, scalable, and connected experiences that power critical workflows across an advanced AEC platform ecosystem. Working closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and senior designers, you will contribute to the design of workflows, interfaces, and data-driven experiences that support real-world decision-making. The environment is highly collaborative and technical, requiring curiosity and comfort working with ambiguity and complexity. You will translate user needs and system constraints into clear design solutions that span APIs, services, and interfaces. This role offers the opportunity to grow within a world-class design organization while contributing to impactful, platform-level experiences used across the architecture, engineering, and construction industry.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of user-centered platform experiences across complex, data-driven systems.

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and designers to define and deliver end-to-end user experiences from concept to implementation.
  • Design workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual artifacts that clearly communicate interaction and design intent to stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Participate in user research activities such as interviews, usability testing, and feedback sessions to better understand user needs and behaviors.
  • Apply user-centered design principles to solve complex problems related to workflows, data management, and platform interactions.
  • Contribute to design critiques, workshops, and cross-functional collaboration sessions to refine and improve design solutions.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment across platform experiences by leveraging and contributing to established design systems and standards.
  • Iterate rapidly on designs based on user feedback, technical constraints, and business priorities.
  • Clearly communicate design rationale and present work to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on UX trends, AI-enabled workflows, and emerging technologies relevant to platform and data experiences.
Requirements

We are looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented UX designer with experience in digital product design and an interest in complex, data-driven systems.

  • 2–4 years of experience in UX design, interaction design, product design, or a related field.
  • Experience designing digital products, workflows, or interfaces for web, desktop, or platform-based applications.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and common UX methodologies.
  • Ability to create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and visual design artifacts using industry-standard tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including product and engineering.
  • Interest in solving complex workflow and data-related design challenges.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent practical experience, along with a strong UX portfolio.
  • Experience or interest in B2B, SaaS, or technically complex environments is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with data-heavy interfaces, platform ecosystems, or AEC-related tools (e.g., BIM concepts or Autodesk products) is a plus.
  • Curiosity about AI-driven tools, automation, and emerging platform technologies.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and location.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Retirement savings programs and financial wellness support.
  • Flexible work arrangements depending on team and role requirements.
  • Strong learning culture with training, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
  • Opportunity to work on advanced platform and data-driven UX challenges at scale.
  • Inclusive, collaborative, and innovation-driven work environment.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies, including AI-enabled workflows and platform systems.
