WHAT YOU NEED
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, civil, electrical, chemical, or a related engineering discipline
At least 10 years of industrial capital-project engineering experience
Experience managing projects ranging from approximately $50,000 to more than $5 million
Strong knowledge of project-engineering processes, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and project controls
Experience with Front-End Loading and capital-project development
Knowledge of Management of Change, PSSR, HAZOP, risk reviews, and related compliance processes
Experience managing engineering contractors, suppliers, RFQs, MSAs, and vendor performance
Demonstrated project leadership or engineering-management experience
Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills
Experience using metrics to evaluate project performance and improve engineering systems
PE license, PMP, or another relevant professional certification preferred
Heavy industrial, chemical, or process-manufacturing experience preferred
Willingness to work onsite in an industrial environment and wear required PPE
WHAT YOUR ROLE WILL LOOK LIKE
Manage capital projects from early development through design, execution, startup, and closeout
Support the effective allocation and forecasting of the capital budget
Maintain and improve project-engineering processes, systems, and standards
Coordinate project approvals and support multi-year capital planning
Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, progress, and deviations
Lead Management of Change, hazard-review, and pre-startup safety-review processes
Establish project metrics and use results to improve delivery performance
Coordinate contractors, engineering firms, vendors, and supplemental project resources
Develop RFQs, support contractor selection, and evaluate supplier performance
Maintain project documentation and alignment with corporate engineering standards
Facilitate post-project reviews and apply lessons learned to future projects
Partner across engineering, operations, maintenance, finance, and safety to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget
