Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator / CNC Machinist with experience operating Swiss machines and CNC lathes. This role is responsible for producing precision machined parts using CNC equipment while maintaining high quality and efficiency standards in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC lathes and Swiss-style CNC machines to machine precision components
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and setup sheets
• Perform machine setup, tool changes, and basic program adjustments
• Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure tolerance compliance
• Work with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Haas, and Okuma
• Load/unload materials and maintain efficient workflow
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues
• Maintain production output and efficiency targets
• Accurately document work orders, inspections, and production data
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure machines are clean and operational
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
  
  

Requirements:

• Experience operating CNC lathes or CNC machines
• Experience with Swiss machining preferred
• Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, or Okuma controls
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Understanding of machining tolerances and quality control
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production goals
• Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
  
  

Physical Demands:

• Lift, carry, push, and/or pull 1-50 lbs. frequently
• Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently
• Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day
• Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing
