About This Position

The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will serve as a technical expert within the engineering team, working closely with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to ensure efficient, high-quality manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in high-volume precision manufacturing, automotive or diesel fuel systems, and advanced manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, grinding, and automated assembly.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to manufacturing engineers and production teamsDevelop and improve manufacturing processes for fuel injector components and assembliesLead process optimization efforts to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiencySupport troubleshooting of manufacturing issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actionsDrive continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and improve performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, Production, and Supply ChainSupport new product launches, including process development, validation, and production readinessAnalyze production data to identify trends and implement sustainable process improvementsLead efforts related to cycle time reduction, process capability improvements, and cost reduction initiativesDevelop and maintain manufacturing documentation, process standards, and work instructionsSupport equipment and tooling improvements to enhance manufacturing performance and reliability

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field7+ years of manufacturing engineering experienceExperience supporting high-volume precision manufacturing environmentsStrong knowledge of automotive or diesel fuel system componentsExperience with CNC machining, grinding, honing, or precision metal manufacturing processesDemonstrated leadership experience within engineering or manufacturing teamsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process improvements

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in fuel injector, pump, or precision automotive component manufacturingExperience working in automotive Tier 1 or diesel engine manufacturing environmentsLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)Experience with automated assembly systems and high-volume manufacturing linesExperience with APQP, PFMEA, and process capability analysis
