This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a National Commercial Technology Sales Executive based in the United States.
This is a high-impact, nationwide sales role focused on helping commercial clients design and implement integrated technology solutions.
You will build and expand a national portfolio by prospecting, networking, developing strategic relationships, and identifying new opportunities.
The role combines consultative selling with strong technical knowledge across audiovisual, unified communications, networking, security, structured cabling, and related workplace technologies.
You will act as a trusted advisor, translating client requirements into tailored hardware, software, professional, and managed service solutions.
Working across customers, vendors, designers, contractors, and internal technical teams, you will help deliver cohesive solutions aligned with business goals.
This is an autonomous, target-driven environment where commercial growth, client advocacy, innovation, and long-term partnerships are central to success.
The position offers nationwide exposure, significant travel, and the opportunity to shape technology strategies for complex commercial environments.
- Develop and grow a nationwide portfolio of commercial technology clients through prospecting, networking, marketing, referrals, and strategic relationship building.
- Establish annual sales objectives and execute structured business development plans to consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Conduct client consultations to understand business needs, budgets, timelines, and functionality requirements, then recommend integrated technology solutions.
- Present tailored proposals, sales presentations, demonstrations, and site assessments based on each client's operational requirements and national footprint.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor across solutions including audiovisual, unified communications, networking, structured cabling, sound masking and management, access control, security systems, distributed antenna systems, and lighting control.
- Promote comprehensive solutions that incorporate hardware, software, professional services, maintenance, and managed services.
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, general contractors, electricians, manufacturers, strategic partners, technicians, programmers, and internal teams to develop cohesive project solutions.
- Represent client interests throughout the sales and solution-development process, ensuring proposed solutions align with business objectives, budgets, timelines, and productivity goals.
- Maintain strong vendor and partner relationships and stay informed about emerging commercial technology, products, implementation strategies, and industry trends.
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, and networking opportunities to strengthen market presence and identify new business opportunities.
- Manage priorities and multiple opportunities effectively while maintaining accurate CRM records, sales documentation, and client communications.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in commercial technology, workplace technology, or a closely related B2B sales environment.
- Demonstrated success prospecting, networking, developing new accounts, and growing a national client portfolio.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a high-performance environment.
- Strong understanding of commercial technology solutions and their implementation, with the ability and willingness to continuously learn new products and technologies.
- Knowledge of maintenance and managed services as important components of comprehensive technology solutions.
- Exceptional client, vendor, and partner relationship-management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and commercial teams.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers and groups of stakeholders.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to understand and interpret contracts, procedures, proposals, technical information, and other business documentation.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, adapt to changing requirements, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms, along with experience using professional social networks for business development.
- Ability to calculate common business and sales figures, including percentages, discounts, commissions, and proportions.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to broader teams and mentoring colleagues when appropriate.
- Willingness to travel nationally more than 50% of the time and conduct on-site customer visits as required.
- Salary: $80,000–$100,000 per year, with the final offer based on experience and geographic location.
