Bartender in SOUTHFIELD, Michigan at NORTHERN HOTELS GROUP, LLC

Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly + Tips)

Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service while creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests at Fire Iron Grill. This position prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, provides excellent customer service, maintains a clean bar area, and supports restaurant operations in accordance with Marriott Brand Standards.

Essential Duties

Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.

Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Take food and beverage orders and process payments accurately.

Verify guest identification and follow responsible alcohol service guidelines.

Upsell beverages, appetizers, and desserts.

Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar.

Complete opening, running, and closing side work.

Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Assist servers and support restaurant operations as needed.

Qualifications

Previous bartending experience preferred.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Must obtain any required state alcohol certification.
